The journey of Selah Standards began with the love of the "Best Dog Ever". A single girl with a passion for Jesus, the people of Africa, and the idea that everyone should own a standard poodle.

I, Catherine Reyna, bought my first female, apricot Standard Poodle after losing the "best dog ever". He was a blue abstract male Standard Poodle. He was my rescue Standard Poodle and will forever be the best dog. He became sick and the vet couldn't figure it out in time. I will always regret not taking him back to West Texas to my trusted Vet/Friend to save his life. Losing him was devastating and I was determined to never lose another dog.

Two months later I found my Berkley girl. She's from Florida and from the best breeder. She was prayed over while she was at her first home and made her trip to Texas. She continues with her nightly prayers.

Over the years, my research has fueled my passion for this amazing breed. Standard Poodles are smarter, healthier, live longer, and are so easy to train. I love the no shedding especially because of my allergies. Berkley attended kindergarten puppy class and was the example at every session. Her intelligence is known and she loves people - she really can't get enough of people. She is the best momma and loves her littles.

My focus is improving the quality of breeding dogs in my new program by health testing dogs and adding to my guardian program. At the moment we have one guardian dog. One that lives in San Antonio and is a solid red.

I've partenered with Dog Training Elite, specifically in San Antonio, but have sent many puppies to other Dog Elites around the country.

​This adventure will always be evolving as I learn more and more about breeding and producing healthy and just the sweetest dogs to thrive in their new homes.
